About Abhiram A Haridas

I am a PhD student in Sociology, Humanities and Social Sciences Department at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. My work explores the social shaping of data monies/ cryptocurrencies in India. Currently, I am researching the processes and patterns of capital formation, ownership and circulation through cryptocurrency-blockchain platforms. I investigate how these digital platforms are situated in social institutions such as the formal/informal economy, family and neighbourhoods.
