About William Nilly's Handtoolery

As the ultimate exercise in futility, I exclusively make things from wood using handtools. Why? Simply to see if I can measure up to the men of yesteryear; a time before machines took over, when reliance on wit, simple ingenuity, and modified knives moving across wood defined furniture design. I often find myself struggling with the limitations of my skills, I enjoy the challenge and the connection to a bygone era.
