About Thorsten Schilling

My home base is in western Norway. Originally I earned a PhD in computer sciences in 2012. After a longer hiatus from research I am finally back and studying biology, specifically mycology. Interested in all things fungi, especially in a microbiological & ecological context.

Apart from that I am an active sailor and spend my free-time taking pictures, from wide shots all the way to micrographs.
